For BRYGGEN, we orchestrated a seamless blend of modern and classical elements. Rebranding this timeless string ensemble resulted in a vibrant, contemporary identity that harmonizes with both young and old.

MUSICAL JOURNEY
BRYGGEN is a renowned string orchestra, celebrated for its lively performances and adaptability. Led by artistic director Jolente De Maeyer, the ensemble’s music takes listeners on a thrilling journey through the Baltic region and Scandinavia.
DYNAMIC Identity
When crafting their brand identity, we focused on the artists’ dynamic movements during their performances. What truly sets BRYGGEN apart is their mobility; they don’t stay at the same spot while playing and often engage with the audience by moving around. This contemporary approach is what makes them truly special. To capture this essence, we integrated fluid lines into their branding, conveying a sense of movement and energy.
Visual Energy
We took this concept further by employing a style of “blurred” photography and bold gradients that beautifully mirrored the dynamic and captivating nature of their music. This approach not only piques the interest of classical music enthusiasts but also resonates with younger audiences. Thanks to the fresh and modern image that BRYGGEN has adopted, they can now appeal to both of their target demographics.
Transformation
We meticulously applied the rebranding down to the smallest details, ensuring that everything came together seamlessly and made sense as a cohesive whole. From the fonts used to the art direction during their photoshoot, every decision was carefully considered with a clear objective in mind.
